Reduce SpendingJune 12, 2012
Government spending is out of control and, quite frankly, unsustainable. Since President Obama took office, he has grown our national debt more than 40% and it now tops $17 trillion with no end in sight. We must stop the ‘spend now, pay later’ mentality that is burdening our children with financial ruin through an unsustainable debt that they cannot afford and should not have to pay.
I have worked hard to make sure that the federal government lives within in its means. I’ve done this by supporting legislation such as “Path to Prosperity”, “Cut Cap and Balance”, and “The Stability, Security and Fairness Resolution.”
Congress must join me in ending wasteful, unnecessary, and duplicative spending. The federal government cannot afford to fund every program simply because some bureaucrat in Washington likes it.
