Our National SecurityJune 12, 2012
First and foremost, the responsibility of government is to protect its citizens. I’m proud to have been named a “Champion of National Security” for the last 4 years from the conservative Center for Security Policy while serving as a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. As the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I have been leading the investigation on the 9/11 attacks on Benghazi to uncover the truth and hold the administration and those involved responsible.
It is our responsibility to strengthen and maintain our military power so that our brave men and women in the armed forces will be ready for any national security crisis when and where it happens. Our men and woman in uniform must have our support and access to the best equipment and training possible. I will continue to work hard at eliminating bureaucratic red tape, and obstacles toward obtaining new weapons and intelligence technology.
